AL	Jasper	Clear Creek Recreation Area	Feb 23–Mar 17, 2013	WORKAMP Site: This was supposed to be our summer work but the job busted. Clear Creek and it’s sister location Corinth are great forest camping sites in Bankhead National Forest. Clear Creek is more geared to family with kids, Corinth is more an adult park with large spacious sites.
AL	Montgomery	Montgomery South RV Park	Feb 26, 2012	Fairly new park. Small but very open and clean.
AL	Summerdale	Rainbow Plantation	Feb 24-25, 2012	This is an Escapee park. Met Darrell and Judy Patterson from Wandering America. Cool people.
AR	Hot Springs	Hot Springs National Park KOA	Jan 2, 2014	Located on a hilly section of the area, we found our site was badly out of level. Front wheels on motor home were about 6 inches off ground when we leveled. Fenced dog run was a plus for us. Office and store are adequately stocked. Staff delivers Hunt Brothers products to site (Pizza and wings).
AR	Russellville	Ivy’s Cove RV Retreat	Apr 1, 2015	Small privately owned park with easy access just off of I-40 at Exit 84 and next door to Flying J. Good eats in town.
AR	West Memphis	Tom Sawyer RV Park	Jan 1, 2014	Very simple RV park located across the Mississippi River from Memphis, TN. Sites are spacious, open and level. Nothing fancy at all. OK for overnight stop. Easy trip back to Memphis for good eats on Beal Street.
GA	Augusta	Heritage RV Park	Feb 28, 2012	Small family owned park off the beaten path. A little tight getting in the park but easy maneuvering space in park.
GA	Blue Ridge	Windy Valley Llama Farm	Apr 1–Sep 30, 2012	WORKAMP Site: Located about 10 minutes from TN, NC state lines.
GA	Macon	Al Sihah Shrine Temple	Feb 27, 2012	OK for overnight stay. Parking is on very un-level grass.
KY	Grand River	Exit 31 RV Park	Oct 29, 2013	Easy access for overnight stop of I-24, just a few miles up the road from Patti’s Settlement. RV park is bare bones but does have level concrete pads, FHU and a tree. The blog entry ‘Patti’s Settlement’ has a photo of the RV park.
KY	Louisville (Shepherdsville)	Louisville South KOA	Apr 1-2, 2016	Busy KOA located south of Louisville off I-65 at exit 117. If arriving during a school day afternoon, be aware the route takes you through a very busy school zone. Just go slow. Their are other RV parks closer to Louisville. We opted for this park because it was away from city center yet close enough for a quick trip into town. We recommend dining at Cattleman’s Roadhouse for great steaks or El Tarasco Mexican for authentic tasting Mexican food.
KY	Paducah	Victory RV Park and Campground	Mar 21-24, 2013	Located about 10 miles east of Paducah, this is a small private RV park next to Paducah International Raceway. Not a large fancy place but it is clean and very quiet. However, during racing season, it will be noisy. Easy access to Paducah. Stayed 4 extra nights because of snow storm in St. Louis, MO
LA	Duson (Lafayette)	Frog City RV Park	Feb 22, 2012	Just off I-10. next door to truck stop and motel.
LA	Minden	Beaver Dam at Caney Lakes Recreation Complex in Kisatche National Forrest	Feb 19, 2013	WOW, what a cool place. Easy access to Interstate and local Louisiana flavor. This would be a good destination location.
MO	Fenton	Covered Bridge RV Park and Storage	Mar 25, 2013	Covered Bridge is in the process of converting from mobile home park to RV park. We chose the side with less snow and water on the pad. Navigation into park is a bit tricky but is manageable. Fenton is a suburb of St. Louis, MO.
MO	Maryland Heights	Hollywood Casino	Oct 28, 2013	Easy access for overnight stop on west side of St. Louis, MO. Amply, well lit parking. Casino remodeling is going on so getting around inside is a bit tricky. Charlie Gito’s serve up top quality food, buffet breakfast is also available.
MO	Monroe City	Mark Twain Landing	Mar 28–Oct 27, 2013	WORKAMP Site: Mark Twain Landing is a Legacy Corporation park. Splash Landing Water Park is part of the complex making this a destination park. Hannibal, MO and the Mississippi River is about 15 miles to the East. Quincy, IL is about 30 miles to the East. The park has a mix of accommodations including, Condo Units, Rustic Cabins, Lake Cabins, Bungalows, Tent Sites and 200+ RV sites. Several large family reunion groups have filled the park. Season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Splash Landing water park across the road is a major attraction in the area. Many fisherman stay here since Mark Twain Lake is nearby. Many sites are well shaded.
MS	Lewisville	Lake Tiak-O’Khata	Feb 22, 2013	Another WOW place. At $19.00 per night, this is a bargain.
MS	Long Beach	Magic River Resort	Feb 23, 2012	Secluded park away from traffic, yet close to beach and attractions.
MS	Southhaven	EZ Daze RV Park	Apr 2, 2015	Normally, we pick Tom Sawyer RV when we are in the Memphis area. Because of all the recent rain, we opted for someplace different. This park is just south of Memphis across the state line in Mississippi. It was a little tricky getting here due to the highway interchanges. Beautiful park with large open sites. This is the first place where we found 100 Amp service panels. Definitely big rig friendly. Easy access to Memphis for good eats and Beal Street.
MS	Vicksburg	Vicksburg RV Park	Sep 23, 2012; Feb 20-21, 2013	Great place to stop for R&R and play at Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg, MS. Free shuttle to casino from RV park.
NC	Cherokee	Yogi in the Smokies	Jun 14-15, 2012	Very busy, family focused park. 10 workamper couples on site. Met Alan / Marilyn McMillan from Tales of the McMillans’ Travels.
NC	Maysville	Safe Harbor Farm	Mar 1–30, 2012	WORKAMP Site: Animal rescue facility. Great place to work if you love animals.
NC	Old Fort	Catawba Falls Campground	Mar 31, 2012	Small family owned park. Very friendly staff. Tight for big rigs but manageable.
NC	Pleasant Grove	Hagan-Stone Park	Mar 30, 2012	County owned park. Large sites and very quiet.
OK	Elk City	Elk City Mobile Park	May 4, 2011	Purchased RV from Slade and Alicia Tinnery at Rolling Retreats. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good deal in a fifth wheel. They set up our RV in this park so we could spend our first night in our new home.
OK	Oklahoma City	Roadrunner RV Park	Mar 31, 2014	Older park with easy access to I-35 just a bit south of I-40. Sad to report that a tornado destroyed this spot about two weeks after we spent a stormy night there.
SC	Florence	Florence RV Park	Feb 29, 2012	Was a KOA park. Just off interstate yet quiet. Spacious sites.
TN	Bluff City	Lakeview RV Park	Jun 11-13, 2012; Apr 4, 2015	Located on a terraced hillside. Our site was at bottom of hill and looked over the South Holsten River. Very close to Bristol Speedway. Second time in this park we found the Holsten River was almost dry due to reduced water flow from upstream dam. Corp was work on stabilizing the downstream dam. We arrived Saturday before Easter so office was closed. The never applied our Passport America discount even after repeated phone calls. Spoke with a couple of long-term residents who said the park had gone down hill over the past year.
TN	Goodlettsville (Nashville)	Nashville North KOA	Apr 3-4, 2016	This park was formerly Nashville Country RV Park. Located near I-65, there will be highway noise. Our site was a ‘pull in /back out’. First time to experience this configuration. Easy drive into Nashville, but why drive when you can take a free shuttle. No need to mess with traffic or parking.
TN	Lebanon (Nashville)	Nashville East KOA	Apr 3, 2015	Rustic in-the-woods KOA park with easy access to I-4o located up on a bluff. Older park with sites that are close together. We had a stormy night and saw no damage in the heavily treed campground after the storm.
TN	Nashville	Two River’s Campground	Mar 19-20, 2013	Sandwiched between Camping World and Cullman Camping Center, this park is located on the east side of Nashville. Very close to Opryland complex and great local restaurants.
TN	Pigeon Forge	Waldens Creek Campground	Jun 9-10, 2012	Small family owned park off the beaten path. Tight turn around at end of park. I crunched the driver side of our fifth wheel making that turn.
TN	Townsend	Tremont Outdoor Resort	Oct 31-Dec 30, 2013	WORKAMP Site: Not sure if I would call this a resort. Great location away from the business of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Easy access to Cades Cove and the Smoky Mountains. Sites are crushed rock and not level. Good WiFi and adequate cable TV. Tough to get a good satellite shot due to trees.
TX	Amarillo	Amarillo Ranch	Aug 31, 2014-Feb 28, 2015	WORKAMP Site: Small RV Park on east side of Amarillo right off I-40. Easy access makes this a great stop for folks going to or coming from Albuquerque. All sites are pull thru.
TX	Canyon Lake	Potter’s Creek COE	Oct 14-21, 2012; Jan 8-12, 2014; Aug 27, 2014	COE park located on Canyon Lake north of San Antonio. All sites have lake view.
TX	Corpus Christi	Colonia del Rey	Nov 27, 2011–Jan 7, 2012; Aug 18-26, 2014	Privately owned park. Favorite spot for Winter Texans
TX	Giddings	South Forty RV Park	Feb 17–20, 2012	Small family owned park in the country. Met up with Cedar Creek RV Owner’s Group there.
TX	Goliad	Goliad State Park	May 27–30, 2011; Jun 10-13, 2011	State Park.
TX	Houston	Lakeview RV Resort	Nov 3-6, 2011; Dec 23-26, 2011	Beautiful wide open resort park located off highway 90 in southwest Houston. Large recreation hall, wide sites, concrete streets and pads. Our back in sites had view of man-made lake
TX	Kileen	Cicada Springs RV Park	Sep 25, 2012	This gated park is converting from mobile home to RV. Owner met us at gate. Spacious sites, easy access to shopping and eating.
TX	Livingston	Rainbow’s End	Feb 21, 2012	This is the original Escapee park. This is location of our permanent address.

TX	Portland	Sea Breeze RV Park	Oct 24-31, 2012;; Jan 12-30, 2014	Across the bay from Corpus Christi. great for those wanting a place close to the water (not Gulf of Mexico). Spacious sites.
TX	San Angelo	Spring Creek Marina & RV Park	Aug 28, 2014	Quiet out-of-the-way location with easy access to town.
TX	San Antonio	Admiralty RV Resort	Dec 23-26, 2012	Great location close to Sea World. Large park. sites are very tight. Lots of activities in park. Very strict on rule enforcement.
TX	Schertz (San Antonio)	Stone Creek RV Park	Nov 11-12, 2011	Located off I-35, just northeast of San Antonio. Very quiet park. Rolling hills. sites are fairly level.
TX	Tyler	#1 RV Park of Tyler	Feb 18, 2013	Located on highway 33 on the west end of Tyler. Easy access to town. Friendly owner.
TX	Tyler	5 Star RV Park	Sep 24, 2012	Country living in the city. Easy access from I-20. Easy access to town.
TX	Van Ormy (San Antonio)	Hidden Valley RV Park	Oct 10-13, 2012; Feb 1-28, 2014	WORKAMP Site: Best kept secret in San Antonio area. Easy access to I-35 and all San Antonio attractions. Very quiet park.
TX	Waller	Lone Star Yogi	Mar 1-Aug 15, 2014	WORKAMP Site: Large destination park complete with water park, rental cabins RV and tent sites. Lots of activities for kids. Located about 5 miles off US 290 at FM 1498. This is also a Legacy Corporation park.
TX	Wichita Falls	Lake Arrowhead State Park	May 5, 2011	State Park.
TX	Wimberley	Priddy Meadows RV Park	Jul 15-18, 2011	Very small family owned park located just south of Wimberley, Tx.
VA	Broadway (New Market)	Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA	Apr 6, 2015 – Mar 31, 2016	Privately owned KOA nestled at the base of the Massanutten Mountain and heavily wooded.A short 4 mile drive down a twisty country road off I-81 at Exit 257 is not a difficult to maneuver for a big rig. Easy access to many sites related to Civil War. Shenandoah Valley is beautiful in all seasons. Washington DC is a short 100 mile trip. West Virginia is 20 miles away and Harper’s Ferry is about an hour drive to the North. Harrisonburg is home to James Madison University and lots of shopping and good eats. Highly recommend Southern Kitchen for good eats.
VA	Salem	Dixie Caverns	Apr 5, 2015	Small rustic campground located on the property of Dixie Caverns. Easy access off I-81 at exit 132. Nothing fancy. We did not tour the caves but that is available for those who wish to do so.
WV	Milton	Huntington /Fox Fire KOA	Mar 31, 2016	Located on the Western edge of West Virginia, this small yet comfy RV Park is just right for an overnight stop. Spaces a little tight but can accommodate big rigs. Use exit 20A (Barboursville) then cut back east on US/WV 60 5 miles to entrance to RV park on the left. This avoids a sharp switchback turn coming from the east. We made teh turn just fine with our 38 ft Class A towing a trailer Shopping and great local eateries are near by. We recommend Fat Patty’s for a dining – great food and great staff.
